The Richmond Street Master Plan reimagines the Adelaide Caravan Park site as a vibrant, connected neighbourhood that enhances its locality.

By embracing the River Torrens, revitalising the public realm, and increasing housing supply, the plan creates a welcoming, accessible precinct that respects its historical identity and strengthens ties to the city centre.

The project features 126 dwellings, including 46 townhouses, 78 build-to-rent apartments, and 2 adaptively reused heritage townhouses. The precinct design seeks to enhance the River Torrens interface, activate the Twelftree Reserve frontage, celebrate and retain the built heritage of the site, and active public connection through the site.

Retention and celebration of the site’s built heritage, including the Park Farm Barn (1838) and Hackney Mission Hall (1905), which will be sensitively restored and integrated into the development.

The masterplan also includes:

• Direct resident access to Twelftree Reserve, Botanic Park, and the Torrens Trails.
• A new integrated path network completing the missing link in the River Torrens Linear Trail.
• Pocket parks and a central urban forest, enhancing open spaces for community living.
